Aluminium Hopper Head Applications
Aluminium downpipe hopper heads are commonly utilised for collecting rainwater from flat roof parapet wall openings. They can also be used as a junction for collecting two downpipes into one main.
Aluminium Hopper Head Installation
Our aluminium hopper heads are typically screw fixed through the rear using two pipe fixing screws (part code SU9). Outlet spigots on the bottom are designed to connect directly into the rainwater downpipe below - Please ensure you select the correct hopper head that matches the downpipe system.
When using aluminium hopper heads to collect rainwater discharging from parapet wall outlets, we recommend that the rear of the hoppers are site cut to accept the horizontal pipe. A 30mm profiled cut from the top lip of the hopper to accept the outlet pipe will hide the connection and mitigate the chance of water overshoot.
